EBACE 2018 - If you do a road-trip on a plane do you call it a sky-trip?
A few weeks ago we hopped on a plane and went to EBACE 2018 - The European Business Aviation Convention & Exhibition - in Geneva, Switzerland.
EBACE is the annual meeting place for the European business aviation community. The exhibition brings together business leaders, government officials, manufacturers, flight department personnel, avionics firms, fractional providers, charter/lease companies and all manner of people involved in nearly every aspect of business aviation.
It is hosted by the European Business Aviation Association (EBAA), the leading association for business aviation in Europe, and the National Business Aviation Association (NBAA), the leading voice for business aviation in the United States.
With more than 400 companies exhibiting at the fair and about 13,000 aviation professionals from around the globe, EBACE is the only major European event focused solely on business aviation. Attendees come from as far as Africa, Asia, the Middle East and North and South America.
There, we announced our first Space Based ADS-B satellite, showed it working live to everyone that came by our stand and broadcast the announcement live on Facebook. This time around next year that single satellite won't be alone. The other 87 will join it to form a constellation of nano-satellites that will provide coverage to parts of the globe that, until now, had no coverage whatsoever. But by now you probably already know everything about that. We can't shut up about it.
But it's not just us that can't shut up about it.
Flight Evening News came by our stand and wrote about our latest announcement:
Here is the "making of":
Our stand was quite popular as people wanted to know more about our platform's new Space Based ADS-B capabilities:
Our Dev Team - always ready for some last minute tweaking:
We love to go to aviation tradeshows and fairs to meet like minded people, exchange contacts and ideas. And to show-off a little bit, of course. It's an amazing feeling to be in the same space as the rest of the industry.
